I can't believe they didn't improve the voice on Siri. They kept the same robotic mildly intelligible voice from the previous gen phone. While the functionality of the features seem awesome, the voice response is very weak.

If you really have a problem with it, I'm sure that developers on Cydia will come up with different voices for it. They just can't access the software since the phone isn't out yet.

Hoping to get a sexy female voice on mine ^^ ;)

I don't mind the voice but I'm hoping theres a way to mute the voice because it's going to look silly in public. I wouldn't mind just reading the responses.

I wouldn't be surprised if they'll offer users to buy different voices. Kinda like how the TomTom App on the iPhone has Homer Simpson.

Noticed that the BBC demo had a localized voice ...a male with a Brit accent so the world isn't going to be using the same voice.

Sign me with the Girls of Victoria Secret Siri. Like others mentioned I'm sure you can buy additional voices or their will be different voices to choose from.

its the standard voice when a computer reads text. Its on most windows machines if you want to hear it.

I think there will be a lot of voices for Siri, available through Cydia.

I'm sure about that! If Apple sees all those different voices in Cydia! But they could have done the same thing with themes.

the only way someone's gonna look "silly" in public is if they're really bad at talking.

you pussies amaze me. while y'all are pissing yourselves over what other people will think, i'm imagining how cool i'm gonna feel talking to my shiny new gadget like Tony Stark talks to JAVIS :D

It's not really the voice, it's the style of speech that sounds robotic.

You might think that we're not that advanced yet to have near-normal text-to-speech on a software, but try the 'Listen' function at Google Translate.
