Siri & Whatsapp - says to continue in the app?

So my wife's phone can send Whatsapp messages through Siri voice commands on iOS10. But if I do exactly the same thing, it comes up with a message saying that I must continue in the app. Tried this numerous times with no success. Any ideas?

Exact same phones (iPhone 6S with 64Gb) my Whatsapp is the latest version, not sure about the wife.

I don't think updating your wife will effect the app

Did you allow Siri to use WhatsApp? It's on Settings > Siri > Application Support (Name may not correct I use foreign language on my iPhone )

Fixed it - need you uninstall and re-install Whatsapp (after backing up chat history)....
