I'm requesting songs stored on my iPhone. It won't ever play one. Always an error message. I'm seeing this is a known issue and the 'solution' is to join Apple Music.Yep you will need to either be a member of Apple's music service or have the song on your phone. I just asked Siri to play songs in my phone's music and it did so with no problem.

Anybody else having this issue? The solution online seems to be subscribing to Apple Music, which I have no desire to do so.
Each time I request a specific song I get an error message.
Before 'guessing' 😀 why didn't you try this out? Then you would know it plays music from your iPhone.😱.... I'm guessing that Siri on the watch can't see the music stored on your phone when you ask it to play a song.....
Sorry. Realize you are trying to play music via Siri on your watch. Mine will not do that, even if the songs are in my library.

Doesn't work for me.Not only will Siri play a track on iPhone via Watch, she'll also pause it too (if you ask nicely).
Same problem here. Ask Siri to play a song on iPhone via the watch and no joy. I will say, however this used to work for me a month or two ago but recently a stopped for some reason. Would be good to get an answer.
