.sit in Leopard?

I have a couple .sit files I want to open... what is the best method to do this? When I had Tiger, I used StuffIt Expander, and I'm wondering if it's still the best utility... or is there something better out there (that'll work under 10.5)?

For my expanding needs, I always keep Stuffit and The Unarchiver 🙂

I also use the stuffit expander and the unarchiver...
sometimes there are some .rar files that won't open with unarchiver...for those I use unrarX.

if you want shareware I heard that betterzip is pretty good...but I haven't used it yet.

StuffitExpander has opened anything I've ever needed, including .rar files.

And version 11 is blazing fast.

Basically for the very odd occasion you need both. For example the unarchiever can't handle .sitx. But that is very very very rare indeed, I have both installed because they don't take up much space and use The Unarhiever as it can handle a whole lot more than stuffit can.

Stuffit and .sit archives are a closed, proprietary technology, so only Stuffit Expander can be used to deal with .sit's.

I use The Unarchiver only. Opens StuffIt files perfectly fine.

I wouldn't go near StuffIt. Horrible software, horrible company.

No one should be using SIT files anymore anyway.
