I am very seriously wondering who moves around so much on a video call that they would need a camera on a robotic arm to follow them.

Fully autonomous cars should be banned, of course. With that said, there’s no way on Earth I’d let a vehicle make decisions for me.

Safety aside, this is opening a Pandora’s Box of bad possibilities:

1. Got a warrant or missed alimony payment? Cops could get an override and force your car to drive you to police station.

2. Make a powerful enemy in power? Guess what, your vehicle will suddenly accelerate into oncoming traffic…

3. Think hacking today is inconvenient, wait until your “autonomous” car suddenly is controlled remotely by anons. You’ll wish you had a steering wheel and brakes then.

4. Something as simple as getting stuck in snow. How in the heck do you rock the vehicle out without any controls whatsoever?

There’s so many things that can go wrong with this technology. It’ll be a matter of time before autonomously delivered car-bombs will be a thing as well. Call up a driverless Uber, load trunk up with explosives and put a mannequin in back. Enter address, and voila.

Call me a nihilist or luddite all you want, but these things shouldn’t be on our roads. I don’t want to be an involuntary beta tester for your new Tesla.

I've been saying for years now that Apple needs to make a wireless FaceTime camera for the Apple TV.

Of course, they could also support doing FaceTime calls on Apple TV with a HKSV camera.

The iMac G4 was a very cool design. The epitome of form over function, especially with the 20", when they had to put extra weight into the base just to hold up the display. A far cry from these days of thinner or bust. But the form was beautiful, unlike the utilitarian designs that followed. It would be amazing to see that sort of thing return in some way.

Ooooh boy I would pay big money for a touchscreen sunflower iMac with a HomePod base!

But knowing Apple it would be an iPad running iOS, so I would not pay big money!

a body chip with a lightning 2.0 connector to your brain. All information will be transfered directly. no need for apple glasses, apple watches and iphones anymore.
and a bike bell with siri functions.

Yes, but the color will be pink

The next Apple Keynote:

Tim Cook - “We at Apple love the color pink. Pink is such an amazing color. I think you should love the color pink as well.
To celebrate the color pink, we at Apple have released this amazing product in the color pink.”

I just want iPhone support for the Apple Pencil.
Totally agree with you. And that’s kind of been the ‘talk’ since like 2016 around the time of the ‘Plus’ model, if Apple would ever add that functionality to the iPhone, [Similarly to what the Note series was from Samsung.]

The fact that they haven’t done this yet, when this is a very well-known feature that they could have, it’s likely telling that Apple just isn’t going to do it. But, the reason I agree with you, is that as large as these displays are (And with the weight), it would be nice to have the additional functionality with the reach of the Apple Pencil to assist and for notes, E-mails, ect.

I'd but #4 if it was a new iMac. It could be a 30" touch screen, HomePod quality audio, and the same hinge as the iMac G4.
My understanding is the hinge from the iMac G4 couldn't handle a screen bigger than the 20"... unless the tech is lighter now than back then... and even then - the hinges were notorious for failing...

That said - I'd like this product... just an iPad sized screen would be fine... sitting on the bench in my kitchen.

And I‘m just sitting here, praying they‘ll one day do a HomeBar… a soundbar with an Apple TV built in and Siri support.

The AR/VR headset is likely to be a high-end device, and while it is expected to be lighter than existing VR devices, it isn't going to be portable
The current VR devices are certainly portable. As this is expected to be a standalone device with no mac or phone required and with excellent connectivity, it will certainly be portable. There is no reason that this should not be a Macbook pro replacement, at a lighter weight, and a more portable form factor, at launch.
