Hey guys!
We're a german startup and we're designing an Apple Watch stand at the moment. We are searching for the measurements of the Apple Watch charger (the silver ending). Do you have more information about the size?

Thanks for your help!

I would like to find this also. As I am seeing numerous options pop up for sale already, I realize I can make my own multipurpose dock out of wood for all my devices.

We made a "Photoshop" analysis and the magnetic part has a radius of roughly 13mm (0.5118 inch)
Apple customer service told us to write to the mFi support team and this is what they replied to our mail:

"At this time, development of hardware intended to be compatible with Apple Watch is beyond the scope of the MFi Program.

For app developers, an all-new platform, WatchKit, has launched: https://developer.apple.com/watchkit/."

Kind of a bad answer.... Watch Kit is definitely not for hardware/case/stand developers.

Does anybody have better connections to the Apple hardware department/service?

Take the two photos I'm uploading. Use photo shop to scale the usb plug to the same size as a real one the apply the same to the picture of the puck. Providing the cable width matches after your scaled the pictures that will give you the size of the puck.

does it have some sort of coating that keeps it from scratching the back of the watch? seems like that might happen with charging it every day

No its just the magnetic charger and the wooden stand.
Do you know if the charger has a fixed position?

Would be kind of odd if there wasn't some sort of protection added, wouldn't it? :) The image posted in post #6 in this thread suggests there's a silicone/polymer pad on the side facing the rear of the watch.

it would be perfekt if there is a stand where i can put iphone and watch over night and load them ;)

What do you calculate the thickness to be? I would like to make a 3d printer design that can be shared.
