Look, your statement about “already outselling consoles” was rubbish. That was all I pointed out.

Thing is, I like VR, enjoy the experience and truly believe it brings far more immersion than any sitting-on-your-butt-looking-at-a-flat-screen can achieve regardless of rendering fidelity. I want it to flourish! But while the Quests have been more successful in hardware VR sales than anything else in the field, the difference in total business volume vs console gaming (nevermind console +PC since it’s often the same software selling on the platforms), is enormous.
Doesn’t mean VR can’t grow, of course.
