They did it on the the 10th anniversary with the 'X', so wondering if this year they'll skip 14 and got straight to 15/Pro/Pro Max?

Other Skip 14 to name it iPhone 15 for the iPhone's 15th anniversary?

In 2017, Apple introduced two iPhone model lines in the same year. The iPhone 8/8 Plus came out in September and then the iPhone X came out a couple of months later. If they did something similar this year, the iPhone 14 line would still come out in September followed by an iPhone XV (or 15) in November. It could happen but I think there would've been more rumors and discussions about it by now.

The 15th iPhone anniversary is not a particularly important milestone so I don’t think they’ll do anything special until the 20th iPhone anniversary in 2027.

True, but the model number at least matched the anniversary year. The iPhone released at year 5 was the iPhone 5.

Only big thing was iPhone 5 which brought a larger screen which was long overdue.

I think this year's iPhone will be called iPhone 14. Even though we're not getting a major re-design this year. I think Apple is saving a mega cycle for next year which will be iPhone 15.
