Is there a way to avoid echoes if you're answering Skype on a speaker-based system? I know headsets work echo-lessly but I don't like them.

ditto

I like to include my 2-year-old daughter on calls to Grandma and a headset just won't do. Clearly, using both the onboard mic and speakers on my PB (or MB) will cause a problem. I planned on getting a USB mic with cardioid pickup pattern, hoping that would mitigate the echo. I also thought I'd use a cheap set of speakers, pointed away from the mic, rather than the built-in laptop speakers. Anyone have experience with equipment that you'd put in the same room as a toddler?
