Does anyone have any news on if the Skype application will ever be available on the Canadian itunes store? Its been forever since its been out in the US itunes store.

As long as Canada has the CRTC, we probably won't have Skype. And a lot of other things.

You can open an US iTunes Store account. If you find a promo code somewhere, you can use the redeem and you don't need a valid US credit card.

or just "buy" a free app from the US store. Do a google search, or look on the EhMac forums, it is possible to obtain and use skype on an iPhone in Canada.

Following the update to iTunes yesterday, I went to my iPhone app store to see if they had changed anything there. And lo and behold, the first thing I saw was Skype. Unsure if Rogers let that one slip by, but I grabbed it immediately. If it's still there today, then have at it. 😉
