According to a brief blog post on its website, Skype's official UK blogger reveals that the new Skype iPhone application saw more than one million downloads in its first two days in the App Store.
This is a phenomenal performance, and we're confident that it's one of the fastest-downloaded iPhone apps ever. We'll be back next week with an update, but for now, Skype on.
While a number of other applications have offered Skype support for some time, the launch of the official Skype iPhone application earlier this week provides users with an official standalone application for accessing the service.

Let's be honest - the app ain't perfect. but man does it get the job done! I have the plan for $2.99 unlimited skypeout calls and I have very shoddy ATT service in my apartment. So great to be able to freely make calls from my iPhone without using minutes and without having to lean my head out the window!

Can't wait til this works with bluetooth headsets!

Skype is constant crash for me. Hopefully an update soon.

update your phone cydia ...

Mine has been working flawlessly since the update.

One major thing, this thing drains battery like crazy. I can't really talk for extended time. :(

Exactly my situation in my house. Couldn't agree more. :D

Get it before it's gone?

I'm not using it right now but I thought I had better get it before the phone companies force Apple to remove it from the App Store. Lucky for me, I was able to get Netshare before the phone companies had it removed from the App Store. You had better get it while it's hot!! :D

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5H11 Safari/525.20)

I got the app for the same reason. In fact I stopped using skype and switched to oovoo for video conferencing about 6 months ago.
