Skype help

I'm on Skype with my family over seas for the very first time. We are connected now except no video. Why? 🙁

we both can see ourselves on screen under video setting preference. But not on Skype screen.

Please help. my system is os 10.5.8, Skype 2.8.
my family is using windows 8 they just bought last week. Not sure what Skype version they got.

Audio is clear and perfect.

Skype 2.8 is very old.

Try with the last version and it should work.

Ahh... another story.

Why don't you upgrade to (the very excellent OS) Snow Leopard (10.6) ?

Still selling on the Apple Store, and this might not last very long... grab it !

If you do, install it, then download the 10.6.8 combo update, install it, then run Software Update to get the security updates.

With 10.6.8 you will have access to the Mac App Store.
