Help me understand this... I'm interested in signing up for Skype. I'd like to use 1 or more regular old telephones to talk on. I only need one phone line, i.e. no more than 1 call at a time. I am NOT currently signed up for normal phone service - my apt. is wired for phone but the line is dead.

Would it be possible for me to use the dead phone line as a skype line? I.e. phones plugged into every jack, some sort of phone-to-skype converter apparatus plugged into one jack, and then when I get a call, all the phones ring?

I use skype as my only phone but not over wiring, just get the netgear phones and add extra handsets, works like a charm 🙂
