Ok, before I hyperventilate and run out and buy an iPad..

How much data do various phone calls actually use up? Maybe it's more expensive with the current cost of iPad data plans to use Skype 3G than make a cellular call..

Call using your 3G connection. Skype-to-Skype calls on 3G are free until at least end of August 2010, after which time there will be a small monthly fee (operator charges for data will still apply)

Hmmm, maybe not as good, depends what they define as 'small'. Well that is in the UK at least.

that is cool i just redownloaded the app it gave alittle warning because i am on 4.0. my network speed said poor......damn at&t

now all we need is multi tasking to work on 4.0 so skype will be useful.

i'm going to complain ungratefully - a bit crap they are going to charge for 3g calls..

I believe it will on cost if you use skype to skype over 3g network not wifi.

It shouldn't cost anything extra, since every iPhone user is already paying for the 3G-data, and this subscription doesn't look to be from the carrier but from Skype itself.

while it should'nt cost anything. but according to the notification that it will cost on the network after the date.

One would think so that way your not getting buffered by skype, however you should be able to update and use 3Gunrestrictor anyways, afterall it will think your on wifi right? So then you won't have the problem regardless of update or not.

Same here... I guess it's only because it loads faster ... And if you were on the dialer when you exit, it'll open the dialer when you start it back ...

Does anyone know if this will work? I've been trying to figure this out for the past week or so and every time I search for it on google I always run into stuff talking about the previous version of skype, even when I try to set date limitations

If anyone knows or has any guesses on this I'd appreciate it. I just started using skype with a 3gs....unfortunately i wont have the new iphone for quite some time ....
