SL: Hard drive usage

Hey, just upgraded to SL. Before the upgrade I had 47.83 GB available. After the upgrade, 60.32 GB available. Looks like SL freed up a whopping 12.5 GB of hard drive space. Unless it jacked something up... Has anyone else noticed a dramatic difference like this?

Can't say I did since I took this opportunity to upgrade the HD in my MBP, but the installer claimed to only use 9.8Gb of space. I did remove all the language translations and Asian fonts though. Can't remember what 10.5 took.
