A Mac Mini Server SL 10.6.3 is running since many years without any trouble. A 35 Go partition is dedicated to the system.

2 mounth ago, the disk has started to fill up (300 Mb free left), but when I check the effective content of files and folders (with du) only 11Gb of space is occupied.

The first time it happen I clone the volumes to an other. That solve the problem, I get back my free space. But this time I would like to understand what happen.

    Any ideas? Thanks

Are you using "Go" as an abbreviation for gigabyte?

That's a common way to describe GB in French. It's "gigaoctet".

Yes I do. Apologize, this is a French notation.
