SL will not update

I have a plastic pre AL iMac with SL installed.. 10.6.0 and it will not update to 10.6.2. It says the iMac is not compatible so some such.

If 10.6 installed just fine ... any ideas why it will not update?

Are you using the Combo Updater to update to 10.6.2?

I tried both ... same result... also using software update says no updates found.. the error makes it seem like the hardware does not support SL...😕

Have you tried restarting, repairing permissions from Disk Utility?

No, but I will ... thank you... doing that now.

OK Repaired permissions and even tried to update using 10.6.1 but the same error... the hardware does not meet the requirements.. no joy.

I've seen a similar issue with a system connected to an Active Directory domain. Does your system happen to be connected to AD? (If you don't know, or you're using it at home, then you're most likely not).

No to AD, just a home iMac.

Do you have enough space on your hard drive?

The last thing I can think of is doing an Archive and Install, then try installing

OK I reinstalled SL on the iMac and then checked for updates... got some but not the update from 10.6 to 10.6.2 even tried 10.6.1 and no joy there either. I guess I will wait for 10.6.3.
