Can Quicktime X play wmv files without Flip4Mac installed? All my wmv files have "Flip4Mac" as the default application and can't seem to change it to Quicktime X

Yeah, I tried uninstalling Flip4Mac just to see for myself, but I guess I didn't do it right because it's still running when I open a wmv file. Also, how do you get a wmv video to play on a webpage? I'm using Firefox and can't get it to load AT ALL. Had to resort to copy and pasting the url into quicktime...

Install the Flip4Mac 2.3 Beta package (just search the tubes for a direct d/l link, in order to avoid registering for their spam/bullsh*t at the website). Everything works fine after that (even on the real, pure x64 kernel)--older versions of Flip4Mac are not 10.6-compatible.
