i recently brought a new white late '08 macbook which i upgraded to 4gb,

when i put it to sleep for say 12hrs, would 10% points be a normal loss of battery life for a 12hr stint? thats like 1% a hour.

other people ive talked to say yes and no.

what do you think? if u think its wrong, how do i fix it?

    thanks for the advice!

I say no. You should expect about 4% to 5% loss no more.

Yeah, that seems pretty high to me too. I'm not sure how you'd go about fixing it, though. How's the battery health? CoconutBattery will give you a better idea.

is there anyway to fix it without returning to apple, in fact is that even an option returning it?

See my post above if you missed it.

If the battery is clearly malfunctioning, it is covered by warranty. Normal drain is expected, though.
