A few days ago, I installed a new UPS (Cyberpower 1500 LCD). And, with that, connected it to my Mac Mini.
However, since then, I noticed by chance, that my Mac Mini now does not remain in sleep mode. I tested this by disconnecting the UPS, and forcing sleep mode. It remained in sleep mode.

Anyone else here using a UPS and have it connected to their Mac, does sleep mode work as expected?

By "connected to their Mac" are you referring to attaching the UPS via USB to take advantage of management features? If so, did you install any UPS vendor management software?

Sorry, yes, connected to the Mac, via the USB A connection. I initially did install the CyberPower software. However, I presumed that was causing the Mac to not go into Sleep Mode. I uninstalled it, and same issue.

I did notice, when you connect the UPS to the Mac, 'Energy Saver' show/remains on the top toolbar (not sure what it is called), top right of MacOS. And, it has its own settings to shut the Mac down if using a UPS/Battery.

Even with Energy Saver running, the Mac would not go into Sleep Mode.
Now, if I disconnect the USB A from the Mac, and enable Sleep Mode, it worked fine. So, it is something about the UPS/Energy Saver that is preventing it...

Yep, I'm having the same problem here. CyberPower keeps waking my 4,1 when connected via USB. It suspect the UPS keeps sending status updates to the Mac.

Did you find a solution?

Honestly, I simply do not use the CyberPower software. But, the Mac Mini is connected to the CyberPower, via the power cable...
