When my Mac mini sleeps, I see my RGB keyboard constantly turn on in around 30 minute intervals, then turn off after 2 around minutes. Is this normal?

The Mac Mini cannot sleep properly. Just do what a few of us do here: leave it on, put the screens to sleep, and only turn off the computer when you won't be using it for extended periods of time.

Can you elaborate on "cannot sleep properly"? BTW, a lot of the time it refuses to go to sleep, even tho I can't find anything in "Preventing to go to sleep" list. Anything on that?

My keyboard RGB lighting is always on, even when the mini is asleep. I was thinking of trying Melatonin-Mac to see if it would help. I use a port hub on my Dell monitor and it's probably the monitor and not the mini. There is a USB option under Energy settings for the monitor but the option is greyed out. It's possible that it won't let me change the settings while the USB ports are in use. The mouse is also powered while sleeping as moving the mouse around wakes it up. I normally move the mouse around, the monitor comes on and I type in the password on the keyboard. My office environment is normally dark so I don't mind the light from the keyboard.

I chalk it up to bad hardware or driver implementation on Apple's end. My Mini cannot sleep at all because it is hooked up to an eGPU and something else in my USB chain is preventing it as well. I was having issues with drives spinning up while hooked up to a hub while the Mini was powered off.
It's an unfortunate fact that the Minis have had USB and trouble sleeping for a couple Intel generations and still do apparently with the M1.
