Using Leopard.

I accidentally put my mac into sleep mode and after it came back on all of my hard drive space was gone. I had like 50 gigs or so before and now I it is showing around 7 gigs. I am assuming there was a swap file or such created so my question is where is it located at so I can delete.

Thanks for any suggestions you may be able to offer.

You may have a runaway log file. The du (disk usage) command in the Terminal is the easiest way to locate such files so you can delete them. I'm not at my Mac right now but typing man du at the Terminal prompt will tell you how to use the du command.

Veeery strange things seem to happen if you put your Mac to sleep while Time Machine is running. I got MORE disk space (the Time Machine folder on my external HDD was reading around 18GB when it should be at least 35GB) and 100% CPU usage
