Hey Guys,

All of a sudden (This could have been going on a while without me noticing) my Macbook Pro no longer sleeps, when i close the lid the screen shuts down but the fans keep running and the LED keeps on. However when i re-open the screen switches back on then around 5 seconds later dims itself, the only way to restore it is to use F1/F2 to dim/brighten the screen.

I have been into console the the major problem seems to be to do tis with :

01/01/2012 17:35:37.000 kernel: Sound assertion "failedToClearInterrupt" failed in AppleHDAController at line 3639 goto handler

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

Thanks for that, the first link doesn't actually work :(, however the second one, when i type syslog |grep -i "Wake reason =" into terminal nothing comes up at all

Any other ideas?
Both links are good. Try again. You may need to clear your browser's cache.

Sometimes this happens to me with Apple Store documents. Try opening it, and ft it doesn't work close the window and try it again.
