I can force the MacBook to turn off and restart it, but as soon as the computer starts up it goes into sleep mode. Anyone know how to fix this problem?

P puntxo macrumors newbie Sep 2, 2014 3 0 Sep 9, 2014 #2 Try to power it on with the battery removed. The problem might be related to the SMC, that puts the computer to sleep when the battery is running out.
