Good morning everyone I hope you’re all well. I have an Apple Watch series 5 and I was curious if they have a sleep tracker that doesn’t cost money? Anyone know of one? Thank you in advance

No, your best bet is to get AutoSleep. The other popular options have a subscription model. AutoSleep is a one time purchase. And it’s the most reliable. It’s not be prettiest app, but it works.

I also recommend AutoSleep. I started off using Pillow (I liked the icon 😛) but the inability to see history without a subscription sent me to AutoSleep.

I'm making do with SleepWatch while waiting to see if WatchOS 7 has a first party sleep tracker. Free, but it tells me I have to subscribe to "preserve my data". Basic sleep data is getting imported into the Health app, so that should get saved.

I'm currently using Pillow (the free version) and I'm not sure how accurate it is, if watchOS 7 gets built-in sleep tracking I'll use that, but if not I'll likely buy AutoSleep after hearing so many good thing about it on this forum.

I'm using Pillow and i'm satisfied with it. I also bought premium version.. Limited edition is free..

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I did end up downloading the AutoSleep. Last night was my first night using it and I think it did a good job
After a few days of use and calibrating, the job it does is pretty much perfect if you ask me. Good choice IMO!

I downloaded autosleep last night and it works great. It even works with Siri. All you have to say is ”hey Siri, goodnight”

I just went to check out Autosleep and realized I had already purchased it... I remember why I uninstalled it: When I get into bed at night I will usually read a Kindle for 1-2 hours. So, I barely move, and the app always recorded me as sleeping during that time and so it just wasn't accurate for me.

But this... Using Siri could be perfect if that activates it...

There is a "Lights Out" feature on Autosleep that will do just what you need. I use it on the watch, just pop up autosleep, scroll down to the bottom, and tap "Lights Out". I starts tracking from there.

That’s what the Lights off feature is for. Also, you just have to edit out the time you didn’t sleep. But really Lights Off is the first line of defense, so to speak. The. When you wake up do a Breathe session so your wake up time is accurate too.
