If I am downloading a file and my computer goes to sleep will I continue to download the file? If I check "put the hard disk to sleep when possible" will I continue to download the file when the computer goes to sleep?

check your energy settings because with an iMac you dont need to conserve power so you can set basically everything to max, then it shouldnt sleep until you tell it to
