I have done several Google searches, talked with Apple Tech Support and still have the same problems.
1. MacBook Pro does not go to sleep all the way when I close the lid.
a. When I open the lid, the 'unlock' window comes up and blinks then lets me put in my password. After entering my password, the desktop appears for a second then the screen goes black. I have to shut to lid again and try it again. Sometimes it works on the second try, sometimes it doesn't. I have verified the disk, completed an archive install of OSX, deleted the power and wake preferences in the library and nothing helps.
2. When I select Shutdown from the Apple menu, the computer restarts instead of shuts down.
Any ideas?
