I have a dual hard drive set up (SSD boot drive in an optibay and the stock HDD which currently just has my itunes folder and photos.). I have two questions for those of you who have done this, regarding sleep:

First, is it possible to have the HDD sleep when the SSD is active? I have my energy saver settings set to "sleep drives whenever possible" but the HDD never goes to sleep..

My second question is this. I was figuring maybe the sleep issue was just due to the system not being able to sleep the drive seperately. I figured in that case, I would just unmount the drive when I do not need it. I noticed that even though the HDD is unmounted, it still does not go to sleep.

I cant make sense of this. Hopefully one of you who has done this, or is knowledgeable can help me!

Thanks!

After unmounting the HDD, via disk utility, I am finding that it is still active according to SpindownHD. Why would this be happening?

Thanks
