sleepless vs. insomniaX? for leopard 10.5.8

I did use at one time insomniaX (the one that worked in the menu bar)
then eventually it stopped working...

Now I have insomniaX legacy 0.5 (0.5) and it's working; however, the downside to it: it doesn't have the icon in the menu bar anymore.

How does insomniaX legacy 0.5 (0.5) compare to whatever version of Sleepless that works with Leopard 10.5.8??

Just to confuse things further I use Caffeine. Works very well.

I've read about Caffeine. It doesn't work with the macbook closed though? or correct me if I am wrong/misinformed.
