Sleipnir SmartSearch keeps turning back on

I'm starting to use the Mac App Store version of Sleipnir because it loads pages noticeably faster than Safari. One of the odd things about Sleipnir is that SmartSearch (in Preferences/General) turns back on after I turn it off. I'd like to be able to turn it off and keep it off. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Has anyone found a solution? I tried chucking Sleipnir's preferences, but apparently those were for an old version; the new version stores its prefs elsewhere and I haven't been able to find them.
