'Slide to unlock' not responding....HELP!

so just a minute ago my phone wont unlock and the 4 bottom dock icons dont respond to touch. Anyone had this happen? All the other buttons work on the iphone just not the bottom section, but I cant unlock it. What can I do??

try a soft reset bu pressing both home and off buttons for 5 sec

wait 10 secs.

turn back on?

yea I tried that too...the weird thing is now I can slide it to unlock once out of about every 20 times, but the bottom dock icons still dont work....either way this is a pain in the butt and has to be fixed.....

also, if I take it in to an Apple store, whats the process like for getting a replacement one?

what about all my stuff on my current iphone....is there a way to get this back on the one they exchange for me?

so I tried the "restore" option and it didnt help....

Drop by first thing in the morning when everyone is still chipper.

that just happened to me today, i made an appointment and they gave me a new phone as soon as they saw what was happening.
