iPod touch Slide to Unlock will not work on Itouch

I am a Newbee to this forum and the Itouch.

My granddaughter dropped her Itouch and slightly cracked the screen.

I can get the broken screen fixed but the Slide to Unlock does not work.

I held the buttons until the apple came up and reset and sync everything.

The slide to power off at the top works but the Cancel at the bottom will not work either.

There is a little picture of a lock in the center at the top.

Any suggestion to the problem

I don't think will be fixed here
you just need to send it to the company you got it from

or if you have insurance give it to them they might do something

but I think you just need to give it to someone who could fix it manualy

Might not be worth repairing as it would appear both screen and touchscreen are damaged. Is it a iPod touch 4th generation?

Not enough information. We need to know when she got, i.e. Month+Year

All iPod touches have a silver back with the GB info.

What's the model number that says in the back? Does it have a camera?
