As much as I like to read rumors, I am really starting to hate 9to5mac.com. One guy is rising to the top of the macrumor "market" (if such a thing could be said to exist) on the strength of what can only be illegality in Asia.
Whereas for many years now various rumor sites (like this one!) have
carefully garnered their sources at Apple and
carefully released information that they are "allowed" to release or can release
without getting into any legal hot-water, this guy just blatantly breaks the NDA agreements, ignores the law, and wins at it. It's just
wrong to have this guy succeed through nefarious actions when all the other hard-working folks who followed the rules for so many years are left out in the cold.
It's pretty clear that 9to5mac.com has a relative or other source at the manufacturing end of Apple's business in Asia. It's clear that this person in the factory is violating the NDA by taking pictures and passing on information to 9to5mac. I doubt however, that if this person gets caught and fired, his buddy at 9to5mac will bail him or her out.
Here's hoping that the rule of law comes to China and this person is fired or thrown in jail and that as a result 9to5mac goes back to the ooze out of which it rose.
