Why would you want a cable that only charges?

I don't have much need for one that syncs.

Music? That's streamed.
Back ups? iCloud
Apps? Download on wifi

All grounds are covered wireless now a days. The only reason I have for a data cable is when I would sync movies and stuff, but even then, I could just use my OEM Apple one.

Most of the time I just need a charging cable though.

Yes, but it just means that in case you need to sync manually you need another cable. The cable has a useful plug, but if it can only charge then it is just more clutter in your home. Now you need two cables where one would have been fine.

In the car, office, and school, I only need charge cable. Only place I need a data is at home, and I already got like 5 in a drawer. In MY situation the Benks cable is perfect.

But of course the situation varies from person to person.

Hmm, now I see your point :).

Technically one could "preserve" the original cable just for syncing/backups etc. and the benks one for charging all the time. And as they state it lasts longer than the usual cables it probably is a good idea :).

Thanks for still sharing your view!

Yeah exactly! If I pick one up ill go ahead and post a review on the build quality

Your description and photos completely sold me on this setup. Thanks!

No problem, glad you liked it

Damn if this benks screen fits with the rhino shield crash guard then that's it perfection right there

thinking about getting this SP for my iPhone 6. can the OP or any other owner tell me if the adhesive is applied to the entire back of the SP? or is it only applied to the screen portion?

i ask because i read reviews of "colored" SPs similar to this from other brands where the adhesive is only under the screen. the colored border is left "floating" and eventually dirt/debris gets under the SP and causes the SP to lose adhesion.

Great review and beautiful setup but from my experience and yours also, a grippier case might be recommended. I have the Shumuri and Caudabe but both leave the phone feeling like a wet bar of soap on my hand. I have tried them a couple of times thinking that I would just get used to them. But I would find myself working too hard to pay attention to holding the Plus carefully so not to drop it. So I go back to my Apple case and MIME .15 feather protector.

I wouldn't mind trying that Benks full coverage protector though. Right now I have a perfectly I stalled MIME so I'll hold off.

I ordered this and don't have it yet, so I can't speak from experience today. But from the photos it looks the same as full screen protectors for the 5 series iPhones. If the protector goes precisely to the edge, you wouldn't be able to use any case with it. I think these are the best option for great coverage with a slim case. I'll speak up more when I receive it and can try it out.

I love Macrumors and I hate Macrumors - I was perfectly happy with my Mime Case friendly screen protector until I saw this post.

Slim Case + Benks = My perfect setup

Good morning to everybody!

I am very satisfied of your review and photos. I would like to know if this glass is compatible with the cover Ringke Fusion.

Thank you

Hi..can You tell me if this is a curving glass? I mean...is it like the IMOS 3D on the edges?
Anyway, I think the 0,30 mm version is better than the 0.20 mm one

Sorry I havent replied to your questions, I didnt receive notifications that this thread was still going.

The glass protector has full adhesive on the back, it ensures a good and solid installation.

The protector is edge to edge (as much as the phone permits before the curvature of the phone design begins). I believe they are in the testing stages of creating a full edge covered protector, much like the IMOS

In regards to case compatibility, you have little playing room. If you case has an aggressive lip, the 0.30mm might not be for you. Instead you might want to opt out for the 0.15MM that they offer. I believe that a user on here confirmed that it wouldnt fit with the Ringke unless you have a PERFECT installation.

The spigen case offers the most grip in my opinion. After a few days/weeks use, the back develops this sticky type feeling and holds great in the hand. I can see why the thin case is concerning for you guys though.

This particular screen protector does not cover the curved edges. It is edge to edge in the terms of covering EVERYTHING besides the curves.

Benks hinted to me that they are indeed working on a curved version, so let's wait and see.

thank you! I will wait for that version.
I hope they will do it with corning glass, and no other type of glass :)

Try emailing them and see if they'll give you a status update. Last time I asked they were still secretive but lightly confirmed it

Thank you for the answer.. .
You said that I can choose the 0,15mm one for my Ringke Fusion but I saw that this is not with the edge coloured (black or white) and then not "edge to edge", it's right?
Maybe can I opt for the 0,20mm? This cover is very good but I have many problems for compatibility :(

I've been using the Benks 0.15 mm for about a month. I couldn't be happier.

It isn't edge to edge, but it will work with any case and is super thin. The glass is super smooth as well.
