Slim Down OS X Tiger

I really like MacJanitor, but they don't have a Universal Binary for Intel machines, so I would opt for Onyx. It does all the things MacJanitor does, plus more and of course, it's free! :apple:

Keep in mind though that the majority of tasks which MacJanitor performs were for the benefit of Panther users, as those tasks were normally automatically scheduled to run within Panther - however this scheduling was in the middle of the night when most users would not have their machines running. With Tiger, this problem was resolved, thereby negating the need for MacJanitor for the majority of its functionality.

I regularly move apps onto my iPod so I can still use them... when my HD gets below 100 MB free  It doesn't help that I have modded Unreal Tournament 2004 until it's over 17 GB...

What mods have you put together/run currently? The last one I ran was Red Orchestra.

sort of off topic.. but i heard red orchestra is really good.. what do you think of it. ??

and back on topic.. If after i reinstalled OS X, should i create a sep partition in order to store music and misc files that are large? so that the OS could have its own partition? would that make the OS run faster? or is it not a big enough difference that i dont need to worry about putting music files on a dif partition?

i have over 20gb of music
