Slim protection for XS?

I just upgraded from a 7 to a XS and love the feel the of the phone with no case. However, I tend to drop the phone and want to protect it.


I initially bought a case just to have something on it and the bulk of the phone with the case drives me nuts... I don’t like the feeling at all.


Can anyone recommend a solution that offers protection without making it bulkier? Or does something like that even exist?

What about a clear or matte skin? Only offers scratch protection but definitely gives good grip.

Are you looking for a clear case to let your phone show through or something more stealth? I have the silver Max but found a simple thin black TPU case that offers decent grip and some protection for the screen and camera. I have a black background and with the black case keeps it as unobstrusive as a Max can possibly be.
 
Interested in this as well. So many options. Had Apple Leather on my X, want little more on the max. I want:

- thin case, minimal design
- drop protection
- not super bulky
- not gaudy
- not slippery
- doesn’t interfere with any phone operation

Tell me what to buy.

I have the black Bennald case and love it. Minimal and thin with no branding. Has decent grip and tiny lips for camera and screen protection. Probably won’t offer super drop protection but more than the super thin skin like Caudabe and Peel cases. This case totally blends in with the phone. My daughter actually asked me if I had a case on it.

Do you have a link for the xs version of that case?
 
I need a case with an open bottom. I looked at the Spigen Thin Fit, but it looks really underwhelming. I'm not convinced it's much better than just not using a case at all. I may get a leather Apple case.

You will love this case. I bought it last week, albeit for my iPhone 7.

Thin, tough, sexy and feels amazing. Obviously doesnt cover the top or bottom so try not to drop your phone haha.grip is amazing so I think you will be OK.

I’m hoping a screen protector will take care of the glass if I drop it on one of the open ends....

I was about to order this case but saw a few reviews on Amazon and their own website saying that the XS Max version doesn’t perfectly fit the phone. Any comments or experience on that? I do like the look of the case but of course want it to fit. Thanks
 
IMO the best case is Caudabe's Sheath. Their Veil XT is even thinner but to me at least on previous models it felt too thin to provide anything more than scratch protection.

Saw this post and ordered the Caudabe Veil. Thanks for the info.

It's a very nice case. I've tested out their products for a while now and I have no complaints. It's a little on the faint side if you're truly prone to having your phone take a beating but it holds up for general use, add a glass screen protector and you're golden. I use a Spigen Tough Armor myself, the Slim Armor is very nice too for staying thin.
 
Can anyone recommend a case manufacturer who makes some thin cases with interesting colors, textures or patterns/prints? I don’t want some basic black/grey/white/carbon fiber case that most thin cases tend to be.

I have the case on my XS Max and no issues with fit. I have the MagCase not the Pro version
 
I got the pitaka case that fits perfect and the spigen glass plus Apple care. Hope that’s enough. I have the presidiio grip which I feel is more secure with on a 1400 dollar phone but the pitaka sure is sexy and makes the phone smaller.
