Is the bottom covered and are the buttons inside the case where they touch the phone, are they lined with rubber or microfiber? Metal buttons on my previous case scratched the actual phones buttons.
Buttons are lined with what seems to be the leather itself. Hard to tell but it’s not metal on metal.

Bottom is semi covered. Wider opening which allows for wider usb c cables to plug in without issues. I see the Bellroy has a better bottom coverage, now considering this one if it’s slim like the post above says. Too bad sold out right now for the black leather iPhone 17 version

FYI all - I received the Woolnut leather case and actually it's much better than the Wiiuka case. Simmer, better button quality and even the bottom is fully covered/protected. Returned the Wiiuka.

Thanks for the information. But looks like the Woolnut case has silicon around the screen instead of leather. Which is a no-go on my behalf.

Yeah actually I noticed this as well. I do not understand why they did that and the feel is annoying over time - not the leather feeling I am used to.
I ordered the Bellroy and let's see how it feels. Unfortunately the Leather option is not in stock for weeks. Perhaps being discontinued. I am trying their leather alternative "INNOVERA".

I just bought the minimalist from Bullstrap. 100% leather (so no fear of scratching with the metal rim), open bottom (they have a closed option), button for the camera, minimal branding (a small bull), a lifetime warranty (2 free replacements a year), no peeling or weird aging, and better color options than other premium brands. The downside is it’s expensive $100. And, of course, I haven’t tested it so maybe everything I said above is bull stuff, not bullstrap. I’ll let you know.

Bellroy is by far the slimmest real leather case I've found. Once I discovered them I haven't gone back to anything else. It makes Andar or Ryan London seem thick
How do you like the bellroy? I’ve been thinking about getting one but I’m not sure how I feel about the tpu at the top and bottom

It’s been by far my favorite case as far as how it feels in the hand and the slimness. Sadly on the 17 pro, I’ve had some minor fitment issues where you can see the color of the bezels of the phone (in my case Silver) peeking through, which drives my OCD a little mad 🙈

They sent me a replacement case for free but it had the same issues. Didn’t have this issue with my 16 pro case from them. Just ordered their innovera (plant leather) case to see if it fits better

My lonli does it too but so does the tech woven

It's different when those show the edge of the bezel by design. The Bellroy is designed to wrap around the bezel but does so unevenly.

Received the bellroy leather alternative INNOVERA case today. Overall feels the thinnest compared to the Mujji, Woolnut, and Wiiuka. Height of lip is the lowest so almost feels the screen could be scratched if face down (but doesn't). Buttons feel softer, not as clicky as the Woolnut which I preferred. Faux leather feel is OK, wondering how it will hold up over months/years. Also could be better as don't have to worry about getting wet from rain etc.

Ended up buying a few more cases and in the end, I'm now going with the Torro Leather Case. Let's see how long it holds up.

A few insights from the various cases I went through:

Mujio
- Pro: Good quality leather, good quality buttons. Bottom is fully covered/protected.
- Con: No camera control button - just a hole in the leather - deal breaker. High lip on front case makes the case feel thick

Wiiuka
- Pro: Good quality leather, camera control button
- Con: Not slim, almost bulky compared to the others. Bottom not covered.

Woolnut
- Pro: Simmer, better button quality and bottom is fully covered/protected, camera control button
- Con: Side of case has silicon around the screen instead of leather.

Bellroy INNOVERA
- Pro: Slim and thin - lip around the front case is very low, felt almost the screen would be scratched if face down (but high enough to protect), camera control button
- Con: Material is not a leather replacement. Very rough and not the same 'leather feel'. Buttons are 'gooey' and not 'clicky'.

Dockem
- Pro: Slim and thin, full protection around phone, camera control button
- Con: Too smooth finish, doesn't feel like genuine leather

Torro
- Pro: Full protection around the phone, clicky buttons, camera control button, minimal branding on side.
- Con: Lip higher than it needs to be, but still feels lower than Mujio.
