Apps Sling TV performance on 4th Gen ATV

I've been a subscriber to Sling TV almost since it's introduction. Overall I was really happy with the service but over the course of the past couple months and APP updates I have seen the resolution of live streams decrease on my 4th generation Apple TV to where it's practically unwatchable. The Golf channel stream was one of the first to start looking bad, now that the NCAA tournament is in full swing the streams on TNT, TBS and TruTV look really bad.

When I go to the ESPNwatch APP or NBCSports App the resolution of streams are just fine so I know there is no issue with my Apple TV.

Frustrated I fired up an Android box that was collecting dust (it supports 4K) after updating the SlingTV APP it has been beautiful to stream Golf channel and the NCAA tournament. So it appears to me that Sling has done something to their APP that affects the stream quality on the 4th Generation ATV. Probably have the APP optimized for the ATV 4K is my guess which affects the performance of the 4th Generation.

Can anyone confirm this that might own both ATV's? Before I run out and invest in the 4K unit I'd like to know that it's performance isn't suffering with the Sling APP as well.

Maybe I should rephrase the question since I received no response. Can anyone confirm that the Sling TV App works fine on the Apple TV 4K? Can anyone else chip in that overall performance is poor on the 4th Gen Apple TV?

An update: I now have the Apple TV 4K and overall performance with Sling TV is improved. The Golf channel is now once again perfect, the resolution is fabulous. However other live game feeds such as NBATV and TNT NBA are just so-so. Strange how some live feeds on Sling TV are better than others. Anyway the upgrade was worthwhile just for the Golf Channel improvement and the beautiful HDR mode with my Samsung TV.
