I know there are some plateforms that SlingTV will not be on due to conflicting services (Sony Playstations) Is Apple one of them?

Not correct. Sling TV does have an ios app, and it will airplay mirror to an apple tv. There is no native apple tv app though.

IMHO, sling tv isn't worth it yet, unless you really want to watch sports live.. There's no DVR function, on demand is hit or miss and the rules for watching recently aired shows varies between channels.

wow, I never knew they had an IOS app, guess that means there is a good chance of it coming to ATV also

As for your other comment, I have had it for a good month now and my thoughts are Its ok for what it is right now. It has a lot of growing to do still. Only providing the pause/rewind/3day replay on like 5 channels won't cut it for me (of course those options are not available on the channels that I watch :-/

I don't think the fact that there is an iOS app means there's a good chance of an Apple TV app. There are LOTS of iOS apps that would make great tv apps that haven't appeared on the tv.

I'm hoping I'm wrong and they open up the box a bit more. It's the closed off nature and aging hardware that lead me to give the fire tv a try.

I hate my fire stick so i'm looking at moving elsewhere.

anyway, saw many reviews that state airplay does not work with sling tv.

Airplay mirroring does work, (sort of, it's not great) but there is no AirPlay button in the app.

I tested it after I read your post, just to be sure.

So you have a fire sick but don't like it. What are you looking for out of a streaming box?

Yet.

Unless Apple is completely ignoring ATV development, they've got to be working on a software revision that allows an "app store" model for selecting content options. Right now, each new "channel" has to be built into the ATV software, which really limits things.

As soon as you see an "app store" for ATV, you'll see a flood of apps that would be the ATV counterpart of iOS aps that stream video. (Amazon Prime, Sling TV, NBCSN Live Extra, etc.)

If you use the "mirroring" function of airplay, it works. It is odd, though. Usually the "Mirroring" shows the stream on the device as well as the TV, hence, mirroring. With SlingTV, mirroring acts like AirPlay, it shows on the TV, but the device goes black.

One that is not bug ridden (go read one of the thousands of bad reviews out on the website)

I have to reboot my fire stick like once a day to make it usable otherwise it gets laggy and glitchy and apps start to act up.

Just going by what CNET said:
