iPhone 8/Plus Slow autofocus

I have been spoiled with the instant autofocus of the samsung s7-s8 and pixel 2,the autofocus of the iphone 8 is painfully slow.

Is there anything i can do to make it faster? Or do i have to live with it?

i don't have an 8 but my phones auto focus is pretty snappy. What do you call slow? approximately

Takes about a second or 1 and half not always tho.

Low lighting will cause the focus to hunt a bit longer but if you touch the screen to tell it where to fuss, it does it quicker.

True. Guess i have to cope with it.

I do love the screen tho,the wide color gamut i mean. I see clearly the reds greens and blues are popping so nice. When taking a picture you see the colors pop so nice,its like the colors are on the foreground and the back ground is flat.
