Slow boot up after update to 4.2.1

    It's taking 50secs now

    Is anyone else seeing this?

    I wish. My boot screen just freezes halfway through progress bar
    I can't even get it to boot at all. Now what?

    How long should it take to update after the download has finished and the iPad starts to update. Mine has been stuck with the progress bar on the boot-up screen half way across for about 20 minutes.

    Did I just brick my iPad? How do I get it to work?

    EDIT: Never mind, I finally just gave up after 30 minutes passed and reset the iPad and now I have to go through and restore the entire thing. I suppose that includes trying to update to 4.2 again. So much for Apple products always "just working" like everyone says.

    Boot time has improved to around 25secs similar to iphone 4

    Same thing happened to me, took me hours to install 4.2 and i had to leave it syncing at home this morning as my music was wiped :(

    luckily apple backup meant i didnt lose my data or app syncs tho.

    was yours jb'd? mine was, so i blamed that.

    Also my wifi is slow after updating to iOS 4.2.1
