Slow Delivery

Hi,

Is it normal for an order placed through a reseller to take 7 weeks?

I ordered at the beginning of December, and now I'm being told mid/late January.

There seem to be plenty of people ordering through Apple much later than I, who have already received their Mac!

As it is, if I ordered direct from Apple now, Apple say Jan. 13-15th for delivery, beating my current estimate by a week.

Is this normal, or should I cancel the order?

There’s no general answer to that question. But I certainly wouldn’t expect a reseller order to be faster than direct, so it stands to reason it could be a few days slower (accounting for the time it takes the reseller to place the order from Apple, and process & potentially re-ship it etc.)

If it’s important to get it a week earlier and there’s no drawbacks (e.g. discount, support, cancellation fee) then sure, you could cancel & re-order direct.
