Slow downloads from iTunes

Last night it took 88 minutes to download a 1.66GB movie from the iTunes store. According to speedtest.net, my download speed was over 15Mbps so the slow-up isn't my connection. Even Lion downloaded at a much faster rate than this.

What gives? I'm considering buying an AppleTV - are download times usually this slow?

With my AppleTV I have the same problem, but I've never seen a pattern.
I'll rent a movie, it'll download/stream fine!

But when I bring my AppleTV downstairs to rent a film with my parents.. what a surprise... 18 minute wait before a film!

ARGH!
