Okay, explain to the ignorant here why my iMac on some web sites it won't download? I took some of Mac's free courses and asked the guy there and he said it probably has something to do with my internet provider or my router. I constantly reset the router and it works for awhile. Any suggestions?

If you'd care to elaborate a little more...

Assuming your network configuration and router settings are allowing you to access a webpage (however slow), then it rules out your Mac as it has line of sight of the internet. The speeds in which this is delivered is entirely down to your router and ISP (as the other person has stated). I'd phone them. Have you tried accessing the internet via another device?

No haven't tried to get on the internet from something else. All I have is my IMac.

If its only some websites and your mac can download from other sites without any performance degradation then the odds are high that the issue is not on your end.
