On my new iMac, the downloads seem quite slow, but on my PC (using the same internet) it's really fast? I don't get it, I get like 3mb/s on my PC, but on my mac I get like 100kb/s

Is it cause I'm using wireless on my iMac?

Using wireless is always going to be slower than direct Ethernet cable connection. So that could be one factor. The second is if you use a router depending on what kind of router you have it may contribute to the Internet speed as well. Lastly if you use routers every single device connected to it shares the speed, meaning if on average with one laptop connected to the wireless Internet you get 200mb/s if you connect a second device the speed is cut in half. I'm not totally sure about the last one but I'm sure I am right.
