for some odd reason I feel that my mac has become slower.. am I going crazy... :confused:

Slower how? Overall? Internet? certain apps?

Do you have all of your updates? How much HD space do you have left? RAM? Do you often add/delete large files?

If it's overall more sluggish and you have plenty of free hard drive space (at least 30%), AND you have all of your updates, I'd boot from your install disc, use the utilities menu and run disk utility. Repair disk and permissions. See if that helps.

Yes, all the latest updates, HD space from 500GB I have 300GB left
I'm going to do what you recommended..

What does "Repair disk and permissions" do exactly?
