Slow Magic Mouse 2

I am very new to the Mac desktop and not long got a Mac mini

have a Magic Mouse 2 and really like the swipe controls however as a pointer controller, even with track speed at max, it’s very very slow.

Is there a way of forcing this to be faster ?

Try USB Overdrive. It's free with a nag screen on boot, or a very reasonable price to buy it with lifetime upgrades.

Edit: sorry, my mistake... Just looked at the website, and it doesn't support Apple mice.

Instead, try Better Touch Tool - one of its many features is (magic) mouse control.

Then there is something else going on with your system. If I set the tracking speed at maximum, the cursor will fly off the screen. Can hardly see it because of the speed.

It should be lighting quick when the speed is set to max in mouse settings on MacOS. Did you buy the Magic Mouse used or new?

Was new

I ended up doing a full system reset and that’s sorted. Does now fly on max setting

new to Mac
I have a week old 2020 27inch iMac,my mouse seems not too quick and the mouse and keyboard keep disconnecting,
how do I do a full system restore.is they're any do's and dont's and will it erase everything and satin I have made
