Slow MSN uploads/downloads

HI all.. I find my msn uploads and downloads are extremely slow and I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and has a possible solution??

Everyone's MSN upload and download are slow. It's not meant to transfer files.

I'm talking slower than usual.. my windows version of messenger went fine on the same connection but it will take me 2 hours to send 500kb on mac..
