I listen to Pandora while at the gym (approx 1.5hrs/3-4 times a week). today is my last bill cycle day and i've noticed Pandora will take forever and sometimes not switch to the next song this past week. Idk if its att or Pandora? my internet seems to be running fine on 3G. right now im at 1GB of data for this month which i have the grandfathered unlimited data plan from my original iPhone plan. is anyone else having this problem with Pandora? of course at home with wi-fi it's fine because its not using any data but i looked at reviews on the app store for Pandora and it doesnt seem like anyone else is having this problem? I guess ill see this weekend when my new cycle starts to know if its att. I've deleted Pandora a few times and still nothing. I recently restored my iPhone about 2 weeks ago. thanks!

Yes. This is normal. It's also old news. You've probably been throttled since October of 2011 and just not noticed it.

AT&T now throttles Unlimited Data users if they use more than 3GB a month. This is expanded to 5 GB a month if you use LTE, which in the case of the iPhone, is not possible.

Who is your carrier?

Read carefully.

I've never gone over 2GB let alone get close to 3GB?

----------

so does it "reset" every billing cycle?

Are you sure?

Check Data Usage from Your Wireless Phone:
Dial *DATA# (*3282#) from your wireless device.
Press the Send key.
A text message detailing your data usage will be sent to your phone.

Data resets every month at the start of each billing period.

used 1182MB as of right now. billing cycle ends today.

My data has been awfully slow this week too.Thought I was throttled but when I called ATT they said I wasnt

yea I think I'll call and check. these are my data speeds...

Test Date: Apr 27, 2012 11:06 AM
Connection Type: Cellular
Server: Corpus Christi, TX
Download: 2.69 Mbps
Upload: 1.04 rMbps
Ping: 286 ms

I didn't think they were. then my Pandora sucks right now. it won't play, always stuck on a song if you skip the next track or when it's over it won't go to the next track.

its been happening to me as well.

currently at 1.4 GB of usage.

my data will reset tonight. I'll see if the problem continues with pandora the next time at the gym (sat or sun).

I'm so pissed right now! I got throttled last month with 4 days left in the cycle seeing my data speeds drop from 300-600 kB/s down to 20-40kB/s (rat bastards). Anyhow, I'm 8 days into my new billing cycle and I'm still being throttled (just got 43.5 kB/s on speedtest). I've only used 200 mb so far this billing cycle and AT&T claims I'm not being throttled and that there's nothing on my account, but that's obviously bullsh&&... I've never seen speeds this slow. Spotify doesn't work at all anymore and even regular Internet usage is like surfing on dialup... I hate this company and will be leaving them once the 5 comes out. But after being on the phone with them for 2 hours I got nothing out of them as they continue to say I shouldn't be throttled.?.. Wtf

I am having a similar problem. It feels as if they haven't stopped throttling me.

I've had no issues with pandora, but my Internet and data speeds are slow. Even iMessages are taking forever to send. This throttling **** is annoying.

Download the free speedtest app and check your actual speeds.

I have been having the same problem over the past couple of weeks. The speedtest app shows 1.5 Mbps down and 0.5 Mbps up so streaming audio shouldn't be a problem. If I kill the Pandora app, the first song will play fine and then halt at the end for a few minutes.

well after seeing the reviews on the pandora app through the app store, it is pandora. everyone else is having the same problem on 3G. it must of just started. hoping for an update soon because yesterday it was doing the same thing.

I emailed Pandora's support earlier regarding this issue. Hopefully they will respond acknowledging the problem.

I'm having the same issues. I guess it's a bug in the pandora app when it's on 3G. On wifi pandora works fine. I've sent then an mail as well. Hopefully it's gets fixed soon.

I received an email from Pandora support requesting more information and saying that they are working on the issue.
