Slow to find signal (Verizon 4g)

Just a quick question. My new iPad Verizon 4g seems to take forever to find a cell signal. When it does it seems to work fine, but it will say "searching" for about a minute or so

This is only when I reboot my iPad (or another time it has to start searching for a signal)

Anyone else notice this?

can someone with a verizon 4g new ipad do me a huge favor?

turn off cellular data, and then turn it back on and see how long it says "Searching" for?

Mine is averaging about 1 minute, which seems to be forever. My ipad 2 never took this long but it was ATT so I don't know if this just might be normal.

I am in a solid LTE coverage area, so thats not the issue.
